SF or Mahinda? To be or not to be? The GA Trincomalee is playing both sides!

When Secretary Defence Gotabaya Rajapakse appointed retired Major General T.T Ranjith De Silva as Government Agent for the strategically and commercially important Trincomalee district, he hoped that the former Army officer would not disappoint him in the conduct of his duties which was to ensure that the wheels of government functioned smoothly in this eastern outpost. Despite his renowned ability to attract likeminded military men who want no more than to uplift the country and see a united Sri Lanka, the Secretary Defence has erred in his choice for Trincomalee GA.

SF or Mahinda? Or the best of both worlds?

T.T Ranjith Silva as mentioned earlier in the Sentinel in a previous post is renowned for his philandering and plundering since his appointment as GA. The fact that he was appointed by Secretary Defence Gotabaya Rajapakse has made him an untouchable in the eyes of many government officials and politicians who are trying their best to prevent the Government Agent in Trincomalee from undermining the immense good work done in the province by the incumbent President.Their pleas and petitions to the rulers of the country to rein in the errant General for his plundering and philandering have gone unheeded to the point that in the face of this new development concerning the GA's loyalties at the upcoming elections their revelations are going unnoticed by the very people they are trying to save.

Information has been received to the sentinel from reliable sources who are in tune with the political currents engulfing Trincomalee that the GA is secretly supporting the United National Front's common candidate Sarath Fonseka. There exists glaring proof that GA Ranjith De Silva is not only in contact with Sarath Fonseka and his stalwarts but that he is feeding them secret information about the Government's pre-election campaign plans in his area to his former boss Sarath Fonseka.
